Trouble Next Door – a cosy mystery

Stop Press! After what has seemed like an unending round of proof reading, editing and formatting, my latest novel is now available on Amazon: Trouble Next Door

I have enjoyed writing this book and now that the dreaded edits and final proofs are done, I can enjoy sitting back for a few days before picking up the threads of my new WIP again and beginning the whole process once more. It is the author’s perennial problem – how far to edit, how much to change, how much to trust to those who edit and proof on your behalf? The cover design was created by my middle daughter, Zoe who also turned her hand to proofing and copy editing and was invaluable in the process of formatting, the latter had me tearing my hair out at times. I started and finished this book in one day! I couldn’t put it down. All families are a mix of personalities and these characters certainly bought some individuals to my mind. I could imagine I was actually in the room while many of the conversations in this story were happening, a brilliantly written, twisty story with relatable humour and emotions. Fantastic! E. Wheeler
